Tom Brady just became the first quarterback ever to eclipse the 100,000 yard passing mark. This is an incredible feat for many reasons, especially when you think back to him being one of the last picks in the NFL Draft.
Brady didn’t start off as the greatest quarterback of all time. In fact, if you look at his scouting report for the NFL Draft, many referred to him as “slow, average and un-athletic.”
So how did he get from where he was then to where he is now? He worked relentlessly hard on the fundamentals every single day. The fundamentals can also be described as the boring stuff. What does it take to be relentlessly consistent with the boring stuff? Discipline.
If there’s a gap from where you are to where you want to be, the solution is simple. You need more discipline.
You must be willing to commit to the boring, monotonous tasks day in and day out. One of my favorite quotes about discipline comes from Mike Tyson. Tyson says “Discipline is doing what you hate to do, but doing it like you love it.”
You can look at any high achiever across any medium and you’ll see they all have one thing in common: an extremely high level of discipline.
Want to get stronger? You must stay consistent and disciplined with lifting heavy weights.
Want to lose weight, build muscle or burn fat? You must become extremely disciplined with your nutrition.
If you want better results, become more disciplined 💪
